The candidates should have passed Senior Secondary (10+2) Examination or its equivalent examination with five subject including English as one of the subjects from a recognized Board/University
Overview
The Three-Year full time regular course equips students with all the required skills, knowledge and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory responsibilities in the Hospitality sector. The program also involves in-depth laboratory work for students to acquire required knowledge and skill standards in the operational areas of Food Production, Food & Beverage Service, Front Office Operation and House Keeping. It also provides managerial inputs in Hotel Accountancy, Food Safety & Quality, Human Resource Management, Facility Planning, Financial Management, Strategic Management, Tourism Marketing and Tourism Management.
In the three years, the course will make a student learn generic skills by being exposed to contemporary management theories applied to the context of hospitality industry-specific operations. Attention is given to tactical and strategic management in areas like event management, financial management, human resource management, revenue management and entrepreneurship. Some of the foremost objectives of the course are also to develop research skills, complete a 22 weeks internship in the industry that too twice during the tenure of the course which will be able to deepen the knowledge in the field of Hospitality Industry.
After the successful completion of the course students will demonstrate a broad knowledge of the different aspects of hospitality industry. The course will make a student Industry friendly and will enable him to get job opportunities the different areas of Hospitality such as Hotels, Motels, Airlines, Cruises, Restaurants, Cafes.
