The candidates should have passed Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) in five subjects including Chemistry, Biology and English Pre-Medical from any recognized University/ Board and the candidate should have attained the age of 17 years or more on December 31st of the year of admission

This is an allied medical program designed to create an health care professional trained to assist in the administration and monitoring of anaesthesia. The success of the procedures and safety of patients depends largely on the reliability of the OT technician. This course will provide you with the technical and interpersonal skills required to work under the supervision of nursing, anaesthetists and surgical personnel. The Professional in this field is imparted extensive knowledge of anaesthesia techniques, instruments, supplies, and technology. These technicians work as part of the team of doctors and nurses. The major part of the job profile is in the operation theatres but the scope is increasing day by day. Other than Operation theatres, the demand for services of these professionals are increasing in emergency departments, intensive care units (ICU) and day surgery clinics. Anaesthesia technicians are involved with all aspects of the delivery of a patient's preoperative anaesthetic care taking into account the patient’s religious and cultural beliefs and respecting the right to medical privacy and dignity at all times.
