Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering & Technology or equivalent in the relevant field.
Obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in the qualifying Examination
Overview
The department aims to produce quality professionals in Civil Engineering to compete globally and excel by carrying research in emerging areas such as Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Highways Engineering & Water Resources Engineering. The Department has very dynamic, motivated, well qualified and competent faculty. Besides, it has excellent infrastructure, spacious lectures halls, tutorial rooms, etc. The Laboratories of Soil Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Transportation, Surveying, Environmental, Structural Mechanics, Concrete Technology and Computer, are fully equipped with latest machineries and instruments. The department has also procured various software like STAAD Pro, Primavera, SCAD, STRUDS, Estimator etc. The Department has established a separate Hydraulics Research laboratory with a re-circulating 15m long Tilting Flume with a high tech fast imaging camera which is used for Flow Visualization etc. The department is also having its own consultancy cell and the faculties associated with the Cell are actively engaged in research and are providing consultancy services to various outside Private and Govt. agencies in the areas of Civil Engineering.
