The candidates should have passed in B.Pharma from any Institute approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
Overview
MM College of Pharmacy is offering Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) course in two variants. One is of six year duration (minimum eligibility 10+2 Science Maths/Biology/Diploma in Pharmacy) while other is known as PharmD PB (Post Baccalaureate) of three year duration (minimum eligibility B.Pharm). The content of program is designed to impart knowledge and skills in students that is necessary for contribution to quality use of medicines. The prospective student completing the program is likely to get skills in area of human anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and pharmacotherapeutics. During the program student would learn about patient case history taking, patient counseling skills, suggesting the optimum use for better healthcare, reporting adverse drug reactions, perusing research in various areas of health care like drug utilization, pharmacoepidemiology, clinical research etc. In last year of PharmD program one full year is of internship in which student will get exposure to various clinical conditions and able to put pharmaceutical care approach in practice.
