MM(DU) provides an excellent learning environment : We believe in preparing the students as per evolving needs of the Industry. In order to make our students a desired workforce, we work closely with our Industry partners and mentors to design our curriculum in sync with Industry. Our unique teaching methodology which includes case study method and hands-on experience helps students to understand the concepts in a better way.
The curriculum is designed to match the international standards maintaining the regulations of accrediting and affiliating bodies. The curriculum is regularly updated by Academic council with the advice of Industry experts, professors of emeritus of national and international institutions and alumni.
Entrepreneurship is increasingly recognized as an important driver of economic growth of a country. Even Govt. of India has recognised the importance of entrepreneurship and has introduced programs like "Make in India" & "Start up India".
The aim of Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) at MMDU, is to develop and strengthen entrepreneurial qualities in the budding professionals who are interested in starting their own ventures. The University provides infrastructure and technical support to the students having innovative ideas to transform into new products and services for the betterment of the society. The EDC also assists all the aspirants with mentoring, planning and execution of their startup idea into a real business. The EDC has maintained a pool of Sponsors like banks, national entrepreneurship training agencies and suppliers, who are willing to aid budding entrepreneurs.
Business Incubation Centre (BIC) at M.M. (Deemed to be University) is a miniature corporate identity to provide business services amongst its students, faculty and alumni.
MM(DU) BIC focuses on honing the entrepreneurial skills; product development and manufacturing that fall in line with the initiative of Govt. of India to encourage the programs like “Make in India” & “Startup India” with an objective to encourage entrepreneurship that creates self employment.
Students of B Tech-CSE 2nd year of M. M. Engineering College has won the 2nd position in the event Smart India Hackathon’17 held at GIMT, ASSAM with a Cash Prize of Rs. 75000/-. Students are working with the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region for the next one year for converting their ideas into startups.
