A seminar on Water Resource Management was conducted by Dept of Humanities and social Sc along with the Department of Civil Engineering. More than 200 students participated in the event. Er. Chandan Roy, an alumni of IIT guhawti, gave a presentation on the occasion and highlighted the importance of managing water resources in the coming scenario. How reducing level of water can affect the coming generations was his main concern. Prof. Avinash Sharma, Principal, Maharishi Markandendeshwar engineering College, graced the occasion and motivated the students towards saving ground water and surface water. He also highlighted how the students can benefit the society by working in this direction. He made a point that at this moment of time we as students need to leave our bad habits. Prof. Vanita Aggarwal, Prof. Tanu Gupta, Prof. Gunjan Agarwal, Ms. Prabha Garg were other faculty members present on the occasion. The event was of the utmost requirement and was an inspiration for the students too.
